We pride ourselves on relaxed, friendly hospitality: feel like part of the family here and consider our common areas your 'home away from home.' Our hotel has a rich history; during the GDR era, it was managed by the trade union federation and hosted holidaymakers from local companies. Reminders of that period still adorn the walls.

Although the political system has changed, the region's natural beauty remains untouched. Take the Luppbode stream, for instance, which flows right behind the hotel. It is an ideal spot for fly-fishing—few places in Germany are better suited for it, so be sure to give it a try! A little further afield lies the Bodetal (Bode Valley), proudly referred to by locals as the 'Grand Canyon of Germany.'

Hiking trails start right on our doorstep. One of these is the *Harzer Hexenstieg* (Harz Witches' Trail), which connects various locations historically linked to witches and their legends. Your host, Dolf, honors this tradition; he is a 'wizard' himself and loves sharing his knowledge of local medicinal herbs with guests.
